1. What do you like the most about taking music lessons at Opus Music School?
I love taking lessons at Opus Music School because the front desk staff like Camille are welcoming and friendly. I also really enjoy my lessons with Mr. Aaron because he makes learning the piano exciting and fun. I actually look forward to Mondays now because of Opus Music School.

2. What do you like the most about your teacher?
Mr. Aaron challenges me and pushes me out of my comfort zone while being kind, patient, and cheerful. I also really like his guided improvisation sessions and how encouraging he is.

3. What is your favorite piece to play and why?
My favorite piece to play is I’ll Be Home For Christmas because I love this time of the year and it is one of my Dad’s favorite Christmas songs.

4. What challenges have you faced when learning music and how did you overcome it?
I had many bad habits I needed to unlearn like pedaling incorrectly and playing somewhat robotically. However, Mr. Aaron is very supportive and taught me new methods to not only play the piano more accurately but express myself more freely.

5. What is your goal with music?
When I was younger, my family could not afford piano lessons but I always dreamed that one day I would be able to learn and play some of my favorite pieces. One of my main goals is learning how to play Emile Pandolfi’s arrangement of Once Upon a December from the animated film Anastasia. Also, my Mom does not know that I am taking lessons and I want to surprise her someday by playing one of her favorite hymns.

6. What makes you unique? What are some of your other interests?
I was born in Sicily, Italy on a naval base. I enjoy crocheting, painting, ice skating, and visiting museums and botanical gardens.
