FAQ
What ages do you start music lessons?
We teach all ages from 5 years old and all the way to adults. For certain instruments we start at 5 years old (piano, guitar ukulele). For the rest, we start at 7 years old (voice, drums, violin, cello, bass, and others).
Do you teach adults?
Absolutely! We have many adult students who take lessons with us and our teachers have experience working with and guiding adults to their musical goals.
What is taught in private music lessons?
Our one-on-one online lesson format ensures students can receive a customized lesson plan tailored to their pace of learning. Our music teachers start from the basic music reading techniques and learning how to play your instrument with the correct technique. Since private lessons are one on one with a teacher, you can move at your own pace of learning and request to learn your most ideal style of music.
What styles of music do you teach?
We teach a wide variety of styles of music, including classical, pop, jazz, gospel, rock, and more. Private music lessons allow you to receive personalized instruction with your personal private teacher and progress at your own pace, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student. If you have any questions, please contact our office.
What will I need to start?
You will need to have your own instrument at home to practice on. Students are required to purchase music books and music accessories for their weekly lessons, which your teacher will recommend. If you have your own music books or specific pieces or repertoire to work on, you are welcome to bring them to work on during the lesson. If you will be taking virtual lessons, you will also need a device that can access Zoom and a reliable internet connection.
How long are the music lessons?
Music lessons are offered in 30-minute, 45-minute, or 1-hour lengths (your choice). Classes occur once a week, at the same time each week.
