The guitar is a great starter instrument and is fun for beginners and above!
We teach beginner, intermediate, or advanced guitar students ages 5 and up.
Whether you want to play like the guitarist from your favorite rock band, be able to jam with friends, or just enjoy making music on your own, our guitar lessons are just right for you. Some of our guitar students also take voice lessons at our school so they can sing and play guitar at the same time (singer/songwriter type).
We don’t mind if you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student. All of our private guitar lessons are customized to your level, style, and pace of learning.
Most of our guitar students use the Hal Leonard Guitar Method, but it depends on your level, age, and style of playing. Your Opus guitar teacher will recommend the best book for your needs. We carry all of the most popular books in stock at our school for your convenience.
Our guitar teachers have a comprehensive approach and will teach you all of the basics to playing the guitar, including locating notes on the guitar, fingering, chords, strumming and picking technique, and how to read music to tailor their guitar lessons for you.
All of our guitar students are eligible to participate in our annual recitals, special projects throughout the year, and special performance opportunities.
We also offer group band classes.
