In-Person Safety Guidelines

Everyone has been doing an amazing job following our safety guidelines for returning back to in-person lessons here at Opus! Here are some of the key safety guidelines to keep our lessons fun and safe:

1) Temperature Check - When you first enter our building, please have your temperature checked from one of the touchless automated thermometers in our lobby.

2) Use Hand Sanitizer - Take a pump of hand sanitizer. There is hand sanitizer all throughout our school, including touchless automated wall dispensers in our lobby and on the 2nd floor.

3) Masks are Required - While we do respect recent statements from the CDC regarding masks, students and staff are required to wear their masks at ALL times while at Opus Music School.

For Voice Students: It is highly recommended that you bring a clear face shield or a singing mask for singing lessons as it may be easier than singing with a regular face mask on. If you have any questions or if you are unsure where to purchase these items, please reach out to our office staff for more information.

4) Wait in Vehicles - We ask parents and siblings to please remain in your vehicles during the lesson time since we are unable to have anyone waiting in our school's lobby due to capacity limits. Please text us at 626-961-2625 when you arrive. If you would like to observe your child's lesson, we can set you up to view the lesson on Zoom.

5) Sick Symptoms - In order to protect the entire Opus community, if you have been feeling unwell or are showing any sick symptoms, we kindly ask that you please remain online for your lesson or we would be happy to issue you a makeup class credit.

6) Mandatory cleaning breaks - All lessons have a 5 minute window allotted in between each student to allow our staff time to sanitize the room. Our office staff also does an hourly sweep of the school to clean all commonly touched surfaces.

View our full Safety Protocols here. With everyone's support and cooperation we can keep everyone safe and healthy! We hope to see our happy and healthy students back in person to learn soon!
