Opus Music School Newsletter - June/July 2020 (COVID-19 Edition)
Dear Opus Students and Families,
Thank you for your patience and resilience as we continually adapt to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These are challenging times and the spirit of cooperation is deeply appreciated.
While we successfully completed phase 1 of re-opening through a soft opening, we have been carefully monitoring evolving county and state guidelines and the recent news regarding the rise of COVID-19 cases. In light of this, and after careful consideration, we have determined that we are returning to online lessons only. Unfortunately, our physical location will NOT be reopening for in-person lessons on 7/6/20 and all lessons will continue online.
This was a difficult decision to make, but the health and safety of our students, staff, and community is of the utmost importance. We look forward to sharing our reopening plans when it is determined that it is safe to reopen. For now, please continue to enjoy your music lessons virtually from home. If we recently changed your lesson time, please use the new lesson time.
We are currently working on sharing recommendations for optimizing the Zoom learning experience at home, new class offerings, and performance opportunities in virtual formats.
In the meantime, all of our current students should have received a care package in the mail. We hope that the care packages provided some joy during these times. If you did not receive one yet, please contact our office. Please feel free to email/text any pictures of your face mask or musical compositions, as we love seeing photos of our Opus family.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at info@opusmusicschool.com or call/text us at 626-961-2625.
Again, we greatly appreciate your patience during this time. We look forward to the day we can all return to the school to make music together again soon.
Sincerely,
Theresa Cheng
