Lineup Released! Tickets Now on Sale for Opus Music Festival
Congratulations to the 10 headliners and all of the performers who secured a spot at our first ever outdoor Opus Music Festival! We've got an amazing day of music and carnival themed fun for the whole family in store for you on September 25th in Hacienda Heights. Check out the lineup and we hope you're as excited as we are to see our spectacular youth student performances and enjoy all the games and activities at this outdoor event!
Tickets are now on sale! We'll be offering individual tickets as well as package deals. The packages include a preloaded Food & Game Pass so you'll be ready to rock and roll at this cashless event! Presale discount ends on 9/5.
Single Tickets: $15 presale ($20 after 9/5) - access to all the festival fun!
The Duo Package: $50 presale ($60 after 9/5) - 2 tickets and a $25 Food and Game Pass
The Family Package: $100 presale ($120 after 9/5) - 4 tickets, $50 Food and Game Pass, and complimentary Opus picnic blanket

This is a special event for us since it is our official grand reopening after COVID shut downs and not having any live student performances for almost 18 months. We will be adhering to safety standards at this outdoor event to make it fun and safe for the performers and attendees. See you there!
Help Us Sponsor a Professional Stage for Opus Music Festival 2021
We are currently seeking sponsors to help us fund a professional stage setup at the Opus Music Festival to give our students a true music festival performance experience! Sponsorship dollars will go towards:
A pro sound system with an audio mixing board and audio engineer
Stage light setup, including a 24 foot light truss and moving LED stage lights
AV technicians
Stage banners and more
Interested in contributing? You can sponsor either as an individual or a business, and 100% goes towards the stage setup of the festival. The more money we raise, the better the stage setup for our young performers!
Artist Sponsor: you can sponsor a specific artist performing that day. You will be listed on printed material next to the artist name, such as:
Katie Smith, sponsored by the Smith family
Selena Sawaya, sponsored by HERA Venture
Stage Sponsor: Promote your business at a table at the festival and get visibility on all promotional materials.
Event Sponsor: Get a tent at the festival and premium positioning on all promotional materials.

Self Booking Website - Now Open!
Seeing so many of our amazing students return back to Opus Music School for their in-person lessons has made this a Summer to remember! Not only did we get to see lots of familiar (masked) faces, but we also got to welcome lots of new friends to our school. Our online trial lesson self booking is now open for both in-person and virtual lessons. We have limited openings for in-person lessons so book soon before we fill up!
Our trial lessons are a great way to meet your future teacher and try out our lessons before you sign up! You can view any available time slots on our self booking site and sign up for the one that works best for you. Then all you have to do is get excited for an amazing lesson here at Opus! Available time slots are limited, especially for in-person lessons so we recommend signing up soon to secure your preferred teacher and time.
We're excited to see you all soon for lessons that are not only fun- but also safe! Our staff is working hard behind the scenes to keep everything safe and sanitized so we can continue to offer our awesome lessons to all students! A Message From Our Celebrity Judge, Cindy Shea
Last month as part of the judging process for our student's festival audition videos, we had the great honor of having Cindy Shea, professional musician and the leader/founder of the Mariachi Divas, here at our school to act as our celebrity guest judge.
While she was watching your incredible auditions to help determine our festival lineup, she was simply blown away by the talent of our students! She was so impressed by the abilities and dedication to music she saw in our students that she wanted to record a video message to help inspire you all and share some of her expert musical knowledge.
We hope this can help inspire our students to keep pursuing their passion for music and push you to continue working to be the best musician you can be! Thank you so much again to Cindy Shea for being a part of our audition judging panel and helping out the next generation of amazing musicians!

Seeking Volunteers for Opus Music Festival
We are seeking volunteers for our music festival! To help us staff the event and make this a fun and smooth event for all of our participants, we are looking for those who would like to help us out at the festival, such as carnival booth attendants, check-in greeters, carnival treat sales, art tent assistant, and more. Volunteers will receive free admission to the event and a free Food & Game Pass. Click below to see the volunteer opportunities available.

What I like most about taking lessons at Opus Music School is learning music.
2. What do you like the most about your teacher?
What I like most about my teacher is that she is fun and makes learning fun.
3. What is your favorite piece to play and why?
My favorite piece to play is "Gallop Pony" because it was my first recording and I love ponies.
4. What challenges have you faced when learning music and how did you overcome it?
The challenge I have faced is learning piano online. My teachers and practicing everyday helped me overcome this challenge.
5. What is your goal with music?
My goal with music is to learn more about music.
6. What makes you unique? What are some of your other interests?
What makes me unique is that I am quick-witted. My other interests include singing, playing pretend, dancing, and drawing.
